- Whenever possible, use a land line phone rather than a cell
(mobile) or cordless phone. Static from one phone is annoying,
static from a bunch of phones during a teleseminar makes your
brain explode
- Be aware of background noises - pets, phone, heavy breathing,
etc.
- Disable your call waiting feature before you call the bridge
number (this is usually done by dialing *70 then the number,
but you can check with your phone company to make sure)
- Turn off ringers on other phones/fax machines in your office
or the room you’re calling from, if at all possible
- If you're sitting next to a computer, we don't need to hear
an announcement every time "You've Got Mail". Please mute the
volume on your computers
- Identify yourself when you speak during the class
- Call in a few minutes early so the class can start on time
What is is a teleseminar?
It's a course taught over the phone. So you can join other
students in the comfort of your home, in your jammies and fuzzy-bunny
slippers
How do I sign up for the teleseminar?
Go to our Teleseminar Registration page. If you have any
questions, you can email Mickey at
starcademy@aol.com
Can others who don’t subscribe to
your “Anticrastination Tip Sheet” participate in the Teleseminar?
Yes, we welcome everyone. Just make sure they register so
they receive any added materials we might send before or after
the Teleseminar.
Are there any "hidden fees"?
Not through us, but your phone company might charge you
for a long distance phone call, so you might want to check
with them.
With the bargains available, you should not be paying over $3.00
for the call. If you are, ask around about one of the 10-10
numbers. You don’t have to sign up, just dial the number and
you pay a low rate for the call, usually five cents per minute
or less.
What do I do after I register?
Mickey will send you an acknowledgment, and we recommend
that you print it out and post it near your phone to remind
you when to call and what number to call.
Number? What number? I don’t have
a number!
Relax. We make this as easy and stress-free as possible.
Mickey will send an acknowledgment with the date, time
and phone number to call, the day before the teleseminar. You
also need to know that you should call five minutes early
so you won’t be interrupting us by dialing in late.
How many people can participate?
The first 100 people to call will be able to participate.
Our special “bridge line” can accommodate only 100 people.
What if I’m can’t attend the teleseminar.
Will you repeat it?
Not that same topic, but we might have an audio copy of it
available.
How can I get a copy?
Go to our
Learning
Resources page and look for Teleseminar Recordings.
How can you offer this terrific
service for Free?
We’re just really, really nice people.
